Branson MO

In September, my brother John was traveling through MO from WI on his way to California where he will spend the winter in Indio, near Palm Desert. Bob and I traveled to Branson for some sibling bonding. We enjoyed our visit with he and his wife Sandy.  They live in a beautiful RV which they call home since it is exactly that.  They have been on the road for over five years. Weather was great, visit was most enjoyable. Since we had to travel up Scenic HWY 7, we stopped at the Grand Canyon of AR to get a few great photos.  We visited Stone Hill Winery, and the Landing in Branson.  Since we do not get to see each other very often, we did not attend any shows but spent the time visiting. Enjoy a few photos from our little trip.

Tahquamanon Falls in the Upper Peninsula of MI

Oops, forgot one of our favorite spots in the UP - Tahquamanon Falls. We went there after our visit to our friends on Burt Lake. We had known that the Upper Peninsula folks were called uppers, but we didn't know those that live in lower MI were called Trolls, and that is because they live "under the bridge".  We had been to the water falls years ago, so with the addition of all the board walks, it looked very different to us, however we certainly enjoyed that and the drive along the south shore of Lake Superior.

We have to complete our Pine City photos. The Great Grand Kids, Beau and Axel, were so much fun. I got a new name, they call Great Grandpa Robert by that name, and I became Great Grandma Robert.
From the mouth of babes, how sweet it is.  What a delightful time.  Danielle and Luke are expecting a daughter in October. Great Grandpa Robert had a great grand time with the children the last night we were there.

Pine City, MN to visit daughter Kelly

Well, we are nearing the end of our trip to the Midwest with our final destination in MN to visit Robert's daughter Kelly, grand kids and great grand kids.  So much activity and enjoyment in seeing everyone.  Great Grands, Beau and Axel are especially entertaining. What a delight.

Visit to Osceola WI to see Baby Willow

My niece Dani had her first baby four weeks ago and we were very fortunate to be able to travel close to where they live so we got to stop for a short visit.  Willow Ann has certainly brought her welcome and she is loved by everyone who meets her.  Lucky parents, Danielle and Jake.

Michigan - South of Mackinaw Bridge on Lake Burt

We met some new friends in South America in Feb who have a summer cottage in Michigan. Since we hit it off so well with them on our trip, we decided to get together in Michigan.  Had a super time, enjoyed the area, and the cool cool weather.  Had to soak it up before heading back to sunny hot Arkansas. We enjoyed our friends on Burt Lake, the Mackinaw Bridge, the eastern side of Lake Michigan as well as the Cross in the Woods, the largest crucifix in the world.
