An interesting little fact, I have traveled to Australia, New Zealand, South America, but have failed to tell you, especially those of you who have not been HERE, about Hot Springs Village, AR, this most beautiful place on earth. Robert and I have lived here, after retiring in 1996, for the past 16 years. Some things have changed here, more people, a bit more traffic, but it is still so very pretty. We are still living in a forest. Actually it is in the Ouachita Mountains, one of the few mountain ranges that run east and west instead of north and south. We are about one hours drive from Little Rock, and 14 miles north of Hot Springs in Central Arkansas. This is a gated community started by Cooper Communities over 40 years ago. Cooper has since left and we are governed by the POA, our residence. We are the largest gated community in the nation. As I said, we live in a forest, and I will include some photos for you to enjoy. The official web site for this community is hsvpoa.org. There is so much more information on that site if you care to look, but for now, take my word for it, this is an awesome place to live, to retire, to play, to have fun and to just plain live! We have all kinds of sports, golf, tennis, pickle-ball, hiking - just everything. What fun it has been to be a part of this community and its activities.
