Reliant Arena in Houston TX
In May, Robert and I traveled to Houston where he was scheduled for Cataract Eye Surgery with Dr. Douglas Koch, who is the best, and because Robert had a special problem with his eyes. Surgery went well, and in the short recovery phase while we were in Houston, we did a tour of Reliant Arena, which was very close to our hotel. What a awesome place that was. It has seating for 72000 people and will be the arena for the Superbowl of 2013. It covers a total area of 1,900,000 square feet with 97,000 sq ft of natural grass playing surface. There is enough cable in the facility to reach from Houston to Chicago. It has a retractable roof and cost $352 Million to construct. It is home to the National Football Leagues Houston Texans, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Texas Bowl and hosts many international soccer matches for the USA National Soccer Team. It certainly was a massive place and we would like to share a few photos of it.
