We made it to Lima, checked in last night after midnight, didn't get to sleep till 3a.m., up by 7.
Met our traveling companions for all over the U.S. We number 24 for this pre trip. Lots of nice folks. Toured Lima, learned a lot about the history. Will attach a few pictures, it is a very different world.
Tomorrow we go to Cuzco, 12500 feet above sea level. We have been briefed on what to do to help prevent altitude sickness. Hope it works. We are also drinking Coca Tea. Until next time, enjoy.
Check out the price of gas. and that is per gallon. the only thing in Peru that is not measured using the metric system. The dollars are Peruvian, but still. ($1 U.S. equals 2.66 Peru.)
