Machu PIcchu
We spent the last two days in and around Machu Picchu Peru, high in the Andes. We are in the rainy season, but where ever we have been, the rain has stopped, sun has come out at intervals and we have had magnificent views and experiences of His Awesome Wonders. This part of the mountain range is very young and growing at 1 cm per year by shifts in the earths plate which are causing the growth. They are also called the sharp mountains. Peru has many earth quakes and the bus drivers know to be very watchful of the shifting of rocks or hill sides as they drive. We have had no incidences thus far. We did experience a full rainbow on the way back to Cuzco from our bus. It was the most brilliant rain bow I have seen and hope to include a photo. We could actually see where it touched the ground. Our tour guide Carmen, who is a native Peruvian says they believe that there will be good luck for one year as a result of that experience so she was very excited for us. Sounds good to me. It is hard to describe the sense of wonder and the experience of all of this. Hope the pictures will reveal a bit of that. Tomorrow we go on to Santiago Chili, and yes Valentines Day is celebrated here. Lots of "Amore".
